In our regions, many farms still bake their own bread. The recipe is usually passed down from generation to generation. According to old tradition, farmhouse bread is baked in a wood-fired oven - but stone ovens are also being used more often now. To make crusty farmhouse bread, you need flour (from rye, wheat or spelt), water, sourdough or yeast, salt and, if you like, various oil seeds such as linseed, sunflower and pumpkin seeds.
