950 kilometres of cross-border cycling paths and mountain bike tracks with three levels of difficulty provide exercise to firm up calves and to improve fitness. The Carnic Cycling Path R3 is especially popular since it is a slighty downhill track along the river Gail all the way through from Kötschach-Mauthen to Villach.

If you like a challenge then get a mountain bike and take the alpine tours in the Carnic and Gailtal Valley Alps. 850 km of signposted cycling paths offer plenty of opportunities for tours to view points, water adventures, alpine pastures and even into neighbouring Italy.

Especially spectacular - the mountain bike tour "Lift & Bike Giro", a package that lets every mountain biker's heart beat faster: the Millennium-Express (transport of mountain bikes free of charge) makes the ascent from the Gailtal Valley to the Nassfeld easy thus saving plenty of muscle power which would have otherwise be needed to overcome many altitude metres. The leisurely ascent is followed by getting on the bike and going downhill on one of the longest downhill routes in the Alps, measuring 11,7 kilometres in total.
