Carnic Alpine Path or the „Path of Peace"

Hike along the Italian border, past old military stations which are silent witnesses of World War I. The Carnic Alpine Path or „Path of Peace“, (KHW 403) leads along the entire Carnic Ridge, running between the border of Austria and Italy. The path is 155 km long, starting in Sillian and leading right the way through to Arnoldstein.

This alpine long-distance hiking trail leads across beautiful landscapes and diverse terrain. The variety of mountain shapes is due to the complex geological formation of the Carnic Alps. The path has been created in such way that it is easily managable and is therefore also suitable for groups of hikers and families.
