Safety on the pistes
The pistes must remain safe to operate, order and safety must be maintained and rescue operations must be able to work in case of emergency.
Signs across the skiing area indicate the routes of the pistes, inform about regulations and point out any hazards.

Accidents:
Report accidents with information about the accident location to the next lift station. A First Aid Medical Centre has been set up in Sonnleitn. A permanently stationed helicopter is available for serious accidents.
NEW at Nassfeld - Carinthia's largest skiing area - is the piste service team. The men of the service team are out and about on behalf of and with permission from the lift and piste operators. They are wearing very distinctive clothing and their task is to inform and advise the winter sports enthusiasts, to be at hand when help is required and to ensure the general safety on the pistes.

- For your own safety, we recommend wearing a ski helmet.
- For unspoiled skiing pleasure – please adhere to the international piste regulations.
- Ski in a considerate and responsible manner.
- Skiing off - piste at own risk!
- Inspection of marked/groomed pistes: daily after closing time.
- Attention! Pistes are closed daily from 5 pm until 8 am! It is strictly forbidden to enter and to use the pistes during these times! (Except night skiing!)
- Do not open the safety bar before the chair lift has reached the terminus and has stopped!
