Mountain railways

Buddy says:
Transportation by cable car facilities (cable cars, chair lifts, ...) is subject to the public transport regulations. It is therefore necessary to wear mouth-nose protection suitable for winter sports. Furthermore, it is mandatory to wear mouth-nose protection in the queuing/cash desk area and in the buildings of the mountain railways.

Buddy says:
The queuing areas are arranged in such a way that the prescribed distance can be maintained. Nevertheless, for your own safety and the safety of guests and staff, it is mandatory to wear mouth-nose protection.

Buddy says:
We have a low-cost mouth-nose protection suitable for winter sports available for you in many marked areas of the ski resort: at lift ticket offices, in sports shops, at ski rental stations, at ski schools, in tourist offices and in some accommodation establishments.

The mouth-nose protection/mask has been made suitable for winter sports:

  • Multi-purpose scarf:                 € 1,00 (UVP)

  •  OriginalBUFF®:                       € 17,95 (UVP)

Buddy says:
It is not necessary to wear mouth-nose protection on the piste. On cold days, however, wearing the multi-purpose or BUFF scarf is considered quite comfortable.

Buddy says:
If necessary to equalize customer flows, the ski area opens earlier. e.g. Millennium Express from 8:00 a.m., all other mountain railways and lifts at 8:30 a.m. You can find the current opening times at www.nassfeld.at/en/lifte

Buddy says:
Work on a new system, with digital info points to display the utilisation of the individual cabin cars and chair lifts, is currently underway.

Buddy says:
All cable cars are ventilated as best as possible during the journey. The Millennium Express (3 sections from Tröpolach) automatically opens the doors for good ventilation when moving through the two intermediate termini.

Buddy says:
In principle, ski gloves already offer a certain degree of protection. Nevertheless, all cabins and buildings are regularly disinfected with cold foggers. The active ingredient leaves no residue, is non-toxic, pH-neutral, skin- and eye-friendly and is 100% biodegradable. Within one minute, it eliminates 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and spores on the treated surfaces.

Buddy says:
Disinfectant dispensers are available in the cash desk area, in the lift buildings and in the toilet facilities.

Buddy says:
You have the following possibilities to order or buy ski tickets contactless and time-independent (24/7) from the Nassfeld ticket shop without waiting times.

  • Ski pass purchase directly at the reception:

More than 50 "PREMIUM Partner" accommodation establishments sell the ski passes at the KIG special rate directly at their reception. So, you can go directly from your accommodation to the piste.

  • Topping up existing ticket:

In the event of a permanent, officially ordered closure (at least 4 consecutive weeks) of the entire ski area due to an epidemic / pandemic, the customer can request an aliquot reimbursement in the form of a credit (depending on the card type). For exact conditions see www.nassfeld.at/en/covid19-guarantee

Buddy says:
We pay attention to a high standard of hygiene and ask our guests to do the same. For this reason, there are hand disinfection facilities, distance markers as well as information signs with the safety measures to be observed. There will be relevant announcements in the cabins.

Buddy says:
All cable cars are considered public transport (such as buses, trains or the underground). They are therefore subject to the same provisions for Covid19. The currently valid regulation of the authorities on "COVID19" for public transport can be found under the following. Here you can find the regulations.

Buddy says:
The protection of our employees is very important to us. Wherever there is direct contact with guests, the employees must wear mouth-nose protection or are protected by acrylic glass panes. Special training measures are carried out and are ongoing and repeated in case of changes. Regular testing of employees is planned.

Buddy says:
Each cable car company has a corona manager(s) responsible for planning and implementation.

However, Nassfeld offers a special service with its own "Nassfeld Buddys". These can be found in the ski resort wherever questions arise or where there is a need for information. Get ready to be surprised!
