This route leads mostly through shady forest (in the mornings), it is also characterized by most of it running on forest roads; the elevation gain is made on the trails in between. There is a place to eat at Wertschacher Alm.
A medium-difficulty day hike to two mountain pastures and a beautiful chapel, then on to the Oisternig. This additional effort is rewarded with a fantastic view. The descent leads first over alpine pastures, then through forest to the Lomsattel.
