The alpine club hut is a self-catering hut and is located on a ridge high above the Gitschtal with a wonderful view. Those who want to stay overnight should call 0043 4286 219 in advance and reserve a sleeping place. The next day, the path to the Compton hut or to the Reißkofel can be taken. Instrukce

At the municipal office in Weißbriach, turn left before the Gössering bridge and walk along the Gösseringbach stream in a westerly direction. We reach path 229 and follow a gravel path into the forest and then branch off to the left. The path climbs steeply through dense forest. We cross a forest path again and again until we reach the Napalnalm with the Weißbriacher Hütte after approx. 2 hours. This is a self-catering hut run by the Hermagor section. There is a wonderful panoramic view from here. If we still feel like it, we climb up to Kumitsch in ½ hour and look down over the Gitschtal valley to Hermagor and the glistening Weißensee lake.

Way back:
On the way back, we turn right before reaching the forest and descend on path 12 to the Möselalm, 1179 metres. From there, take the gravel path or path no. 243 back to Weißbriach.

Alternative destinations from the Weißbriacher Hütte:
15 a Sattelnock, 2033 m on path 229, approx. 1 ½ h

15 c Reißkofel, 2371 m, approx. 3 ½ h, difficult, stamina, surefootedness, head for heights required

15 b Comptonhütte, 1585 m via paths 229 and 235, 3 h
