D1 Jaukenalm

Equipaggiamento
  • Helmet duty!!!!!!
  • Right clothing: Do not only adapt your clothing to the current weather conditions. Also pack warm clothing, a spare jersey and rain protection in summer, especially in the early and late seasons.
  • Emergency equipment: bandages, repair kit (spare hose, pump, tools), map, mobile phone and possibly GPS
  • ATTENTION: In the mountains reception is not guaranteed everywhere!
  • Take enough to drink with you and plan a stopover in good time
Indicazioni

Arrivo in auto:

Indicazioni

KM 0 The tour begins immediately before the federal road bridge at the eastern entrance to St. Daniel. Follow the asphalt road uphill to the right and stay on this road from now on. Junctions to secondary roads are not relevant.

KM 1.2 At the fork in the road, turn left uphill towards "Goldberg".

KM 4.2 About 30 metres before the church, turn right uphill to the beam/gravel road. From km. 4.3 onwards a firm, compact gravel track begins, which continues to the Jaukenalm. Follow this path further. Especially in the second section of the ascent to the Jaukenalm, the path on the southern slope is sometimes very exposed to the sun.

KM 11 Tip: The south-facing, bizarre mountain ranges of the Carnic Alps offer wonderful photo opportunities from km 11.0 onwards.

KM 13 The Jaukenalm lies in the middle of a hilly mountain landscape. The alpine hut has been newly built and offers a majestic view to the south. The tour follows the same route back to the starting point at the bridge in St. Daniel.
