Hiking along the Carnic Alps on the ‘Milchstraße on the Karnischer Höhenweg’ is in itself the ideal form of sustainable travelling: You have chosen a nearby destination without travelling by plane, you are on foot, using your own muscle power, travelling from one alpine pasture to the next, spending the night in small family-run hostels or alpine huts and enjoying the Gailtal alp cheese produced close to nature on the alpine pastures or other regional delicacies. This is what sustainable travelling looks like!

But if you want to do even more in times of the global climate crisis and combine the pleasant with the useful, then you are in good hands with our ‘Green Spirit’ offer. ‘Green Spirit’ includes a comfortable and climate-friendly rail journey (not included in the package price, but can be organised individually for you by our team in the booking centre) and the associated mobility service (train station shuttle) on site.
