Weissensee Nature Park

Around 25 km from the Nassfeld-Pressegger See holiday region is the beautiful Weissensee lake. With a surface area measring 6.5 square kilometres is not only a natural jewel but also the starting point for many water-based activities.

Twice the fun!

Only a third of the Weissensee lake's shore is developed, with the majority of the area left in its natural state. That is one of the reasons why the region surrounding the lake has been awarded the nature park status and even received the European Tourism and Environment Prize. From action to relaxation, the Weissensee lake really has have something for everyone!

It is not just the size of the Weissensee lake that makes it so appealing to visitors. The water itself is clean enough to drink, and swimmers can explore the wide variety of flora and fauna that also attract many divers to the lake. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy a special early-riser breakfast, freezing facilities and the freedom to fish anywhere in the lake. Waterskiing is also offered.
