The path initially follows Gitschtal hiking map trail no. 10 up to Pfarreben. Then continue on trail no. 11 according to the Gitschtal hiking map until the Compton hut.

Mighty summit in the north of the Angerbachtal. Popular destination with wonderful views of Cellon, Kellerwand, Gamskofel, and over the Gail valley. Easy ascent, surefootedness required in the last part to the summit.

Via ferrata difficulties C/D. From the Plöcken Pass parking lot on the Austrian side to the tunnel gallery. Immediately turn left and follow faint trail tracks through the light forest for a few minutes to the start [path 427/4].

Beautiful hike starting from Ödenhütte with diverse nature and wonderful flowers.

From Hermagor, travel about 20 km eastwards on the B 111 to Nötsch in the Gail valley. There, take the turnoff onto the old federal road to Feistritz and after Thörl-Maglern you reach Italy.
