The Oisternig is the easternmost two-thousander of the Carnic Alps. A rewarding hike with a panoramic view in all four cardinal directions.

Short route to a scenic two-thousander of the eastern Carnic Alps, from the Gail valley. The border mountain to Italy (Canal valley) offers an eye-catcher view, with the nearby Julian Alps to the south and the Gailtal Alps to the north.
