The Calvi Hut (Rifugio Pier Fortuno Calvi) is located near the Italian-Austrian border, in the municipality area of Sappada - Plodn at an altitude of 2164 meters. The beautifully situated, cozy hut is a popular meeting point for mountaineers and is an ideal starting point for hikes of varying difficulty levels, ranging from easy tours to challenging mountain climbing excursions such as to M. Peralba or M. Chiadenis.
The hut is open from June to October. The family-run hut offers visitors delicious regional specialties as well as excellent Italian cuisine.
The Calvi Hut can be reached in about 1.5 hours of hiking from the Hochweisssteinhaus.
