What are you waiting for? The mountains are calling! We’ve summarised the most beautiful routes for summiteers in the Nassfeld-Pressegger See region and other helpful hiking tips for you.
Special summit moments
Tip no. 1: Sunrise on Gartnerkofel
You would like to be in the mountains before everyone else and welcome the new day together with the first rays of sunlight? Then you might want to go on a sunrise hike onto Gartnerkofel – an awe-inspiring experience for hikers of all ages. And afterwards, you should definitely stop by at the panoramic sundeck including its cantilevered Sky Plate platform.
Tip no. 2: Hiking between summits and lakes
As part of the weekly programme of guided hikes, the “mountains and lakes hike selection” is responsible for many a wow-moment. It’s the magical combination of summits, lakes and an extensive selection of hiking routes that makes this offer so attractive. How about a summit tour onto Mangart in the Italian-Slovenian border region along the edge of Triglav National Park, for instance?
Well-worth a visit, too: the summiteer village of Mauthen. From there, you can conquer several stunning summits and admire the landscape with its scattered crystal-clear mountain lakes. If you’re looking for slightly less challenging tours in high-alpine terrain, we recommend visiting Lesachtal Valley.
Tip no. 3: Vertical mountain experiences
Climbers and alpinists find their personal summit paradise in the Carnic and Gailtal Alps. And you don’t need to be a pro to be rewarded with wonderful scenic views. Along well-secured via ferratas or accompanied by certified mountain guides, hobby alpinists will be well on their way to summit conquests as well.
