Fossils – Feeling very close to the ancient oceans
Fossils – Eye to Eye with the Primeval Sea
With the nature park ranger, you will walk in the footsteps of rocks millions of years old, telling stories of creatures from long-lost seas. You will start together directly at the Fischeralm for an educational, exciting research tour into the streambed. Sharp eyes and a bit of intuition will allow you to find fossilized tower snails, sea urchins, coral colonies, and beds of shells. Back at Fischeralm, you will grind the fossils you found together under supervision. A very special keepsake for home!
