The Gartnerkofel panoramic terrace with its unique Sky Plate viewing platform is the best place to admire Nassfeld’s stunning landscape.
Mountain playground "Almrausch"
Discover the world of Fix & Foxi at the Gartnerkofel
This playground near the top of the Gartnerkofel chairlift comprises eight separate adventure areas where plenty of tricky tasks await.
Children will be accompanied on their journey by the mysterious Alpine Adventurer, who lives in a cave in Nassfeld and spends his days looking after the animals and protecting the environment. In return for his company, children have to help the Alpine Adventurer find the magic wulfenia flower and protect the local animals and their habitat. Standing between them and success is, however, the Crazy Cowboy. Who will be brave enough to whizz down the mini zipwire, clamber up to the Stilt House or conquer the climbing challenge?
Gartnerkofel panoramic terrace
The new panoramic terrace at the Gartnerkofel ridge is a unique stage for a stunning mountain backdrop. Dotted around the terrace are information boards with details of the summits and mountain chains on the horizon. Visitors can also experience the mountains in a hands on way thanks to a number of rock fragments taken from some of the most iconic peaks in the region, including Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner. Those with a real head for heights can visit the Sky Plate, a huge steel viewing platform high above the valley floor.
