Bio Bergbauernhof Weger

Cornerstone for Life. For nearly 300 years, the Weger family farm has been standing in its place, high above the Gailtal valley, and has always been firmly anchored to a huge rock. Today, Gerlinde and Christian, along with their children Niklas, Jonathan, and Helena, run their traditional home as an organic mountain farm. About 40 Fleckvieh cattle, including up to 20 dairy cows, enjoy the lush mountain meadow grass and a spacious barn with plenty of room to roam. As a florist and organic farmer, Gerlinde creates both original and beautiful decorations from old finds, and together with Christian shows their guests how to milk cows, churn butter, and make dough into crunchy bread in the wood oven. The Weger farm is also part of those farms that have been offering "UrExperiences" for over 20 years – from self-carved walking sticks to campfires by the river. The most beautiful thing, of which the Wegers and their guests are convinced, is to enjoy the "loud silence" on their farm and the wonderfully dark nights that make the starry sky shine particularly bright.
