Gemüsefarm Würmlach

World journey back home. At Marion and Norbert Kollmitzer, even the most delicate plants feel at home. No wonder, as they have been allowed to develop freely here since 2004 without any pesticides or synthetic fertilizers: a whole variety of salad types, from B for butterhead to Z for sugar loaf, as well as leeks and celery, tomatoes and peppers, eggplants and chilies, young plants for the garden, and much more. A film made from corn starch protects against cheeky pests, and two wells have been dug for the clear, fresh spring water. The Carinthian sun warms during the day, and the cooler nights bring out the aroma. Sales begin in mid-April and end around mid-October. There’s nothing more seasonal than that. This life in harmony with nature's rhythm and the down-to-earth mindfulness have been brought back by Norbert and Marion from their world journey, which took the mechanical engineer and the geographer to Mexico, to small farmers and local markets – and to the joyful realization of how little one truly needs for a good, fulfilling life. In harmony with what the earth willingly provides.
