03 Southern Alpine Trail, E21: Zollnersee Hut - Valentinalm

Today we hike to the Upper Bischofalm to the scenic Köderkopf, down to the Tschintemuntalm and Spielbodenalm, over the Plöcken Pass and finally reach the nice Valentinalm. We enjoy on this stage a truly beautiful mountain world.
Suggestion
At the Plöcken Pass, there is an open-air museum to visit.
Equipment

Sturdy mountain boots, possibly hiking poles

In every backpack should be: rain, cold and sun protection, first aid kit, mobile phone (European emergency number 112), sufficient fluids, regional hiking map.

From the A2 south motorway take the HERMAGOR exit onto Gailtal road 111 via Hermagor to Dellach in the Gail Valley. Then optionally up to the Rosseralm.

Zollnersee Hütte (1736 m, K) - Köderkopf (2167 m, 8km, 3 ¾ hrs.) - Plöckenhaus (1244 m, 8 km/3 ¼ hrs.) - GH Valentinalm (1205 m, K, 2 km/½ hrs.)

K = checkpoint (stamp point).

Trail 403, Via Alpina, 18 km/7 ½ hours, medium tour.
