Gitschtal cycle path R3b

Very beautiful, family-friendly connecting variant of the Gailtal cycle path with an easy route amidst the magnificent landscape of the Gitschtal.

Suggestion

The R3b can also be perfectly combined with the R3 or the R3a. The variants meet at the L25 in Hermagor or at the Gail bridge in Möderndorf.
Depending on skills and type of bike, the outbound or return route along the mountain bike trail HP9 is also a very beautiful option.
With the family cycling route R3b, the valley connects to the extensive 800 km large cycle network of the region.
You can also use the bus from Hermagor back to Weißbriach - or also in the opposite direction.

Directions

Arrival by car:

Coming from Hermagor, drive via the B86 (Gitschtal federal road) to Weißbriach.

From Greifenburg or Weissensee - via the B87 Weißensee street - to Weißbriach.

Directions

From the municipal office in Weißbriach we cycle below the protestant church on the marked cycle path R3b to St. Lorenzen/G. and further to Jadersdorf. Here we change with the cycle path to the B87 Weißensee Bundesstraße and cycle along the Bundesstraße to Grünburg and further via Obermöschach and Untermöschach to Hermagor.
