Hermagor - Gösseringgraben - Radniger Waterfall - Radnig - Hermagor

Along the Gössering, you can let your soul unwind – route 410 is usable here by bike or stroller, only from the Gössering bridge west of the power plant does it really go uphill. The Madatsche is grazed, the Radniger Waterfall offers welcome coolness in summer, and at the Radniger Badl, hikers can enjoy good food and a pleasant bath in the wonderful basin naturally cleaned by aquatic plants. Radnig has a small Romanesque church with interesting Gothic stencil painting to offer. From Radnig, it takes about 30 minutes to get to Hermagor, or you can take a detour via the dowsing path to Obervellach. The ancient Romans have already been on this route.
Suggestion
In the Radniger church, a remarkable Gothic stencil ceiling can be viewed.
Equipment
Normal hiking equipment, hiking boots are recommended.
Directions
From Villach:
From the South Motorway A2, take the Hermagor exit and continue on B111 to Hermagor. In Hermagor, follow the main street (one-way street) – towards the Catholic church and then further to the Schützenpark (parking lot No. 2 on the right side of the one-way street).

Directions

From car park no. 2 in Hermagor on the main road through the Schützenpark to the north in a westerly direction, then to the right always following the Gössering on romantic path no. 210 past a hydroelectric power station (to there approx. ¾ h), then after crossing the stream more steeply uphill on the gravel path to the meadow and then immediately branching off onto path no. 9. The Radniger waterfall invites you to take a break: then follow trail no. 9 for a short distance and branch off onto trail no. 14 (gravel path), which leads along the edge of the forest (game reserve nearby). At the Radniger Badl (one of the first baths in Austria with natural water purification) we can refresh ourselves and then follow path no. 23 to the village of Radnig. After Hermagor we can descend on the road or through the forest (path 10), this path is also suitable as a hiking trail from Hermagor to Radnig.
