Beginner-friendly mountain bike tour with great views of the Carnic Alps
Suggestion
  • Open for MTB riders - unless otherwise stated - during the following period:
    • 01 May - 31 August, from 9 am to 7 pm and 01 September - 31 October, from 9 am to 5 pm
  • The tour can also be done with an e-MTB.
Equipment
  • Helmet mandatory!!!!!!!
  • Proper clothing: Adjust your clothing not only to the current weather conditions. Also pack warm clothing, a spare jersey, and rain protection, especially in early and late season, even in summer.
  • Emergency equipment: first aid kit, repair kit (spare tube, pump, tools), map, mobile phone, and possibly GPS
  • WARNING: Reception in the mountains is not guaranteed everywhere!
  • Bring enough to drink and plan a break in good time

Arrival by car:

From Hermagor via B111 (Gailtal Road) or from Oberdrauburg via B110 (Plöcken Pass Road) to Kötschach-Mauthen and from there via B111 (Gailtal Road) further to Kirchbach.

KM 0: follow the main road eastwards (as far as Treßdorf)

KM 1.4 Turn left towards Staudachberg, Hochwart
