Wanderung zur St. Leonhard Kirche - Jausenstation Ederhof

The church in Schlanitzen is dedicated to St. Leonhard, the patron saint of prisoners and miners. It was enlarged by the local population during the Turkish invasions as a sign of gratitude that nobody was hurt.
Suggestion
In the church you can admire a beautiful gothic stencil ceiling.
Equipment
Hiking boots are recommended as the path can be slippery.
Directions
Approach via the B111 to the Tröpolach junction. On the B90 Nassfeldpass Straße follow the signs Millennium-Express.

Directions

In the village of Tröpolach we follow the signposts to Schlanitzen and branch off in the south of the village to the foot of the mountain. The steep way of the cross leads us in 30 min to the lonely standing church of Schlanitzen, consecrated to St. Leonhard. The silence, only a short distance from the tourist destinations, captures us. The church hints at the former mining in this area and contains a fantastic gothic stencil ceiling.

Follow the path to the Ederhof snack station.

Return either the same way as the ascent or along the road towards Tröpolach.
