Very close to the Austrian-Italian border at Nassfeld in the Carnic Alps, Hans Plattner and his wife Gertraud have been running Alpenhof Plattner for over 25 years. Where in winter the skiers stop for a break, in summer the hikers enjoy the sunny place on the terrace at 1600 meters above sea level. The location in the heart of the Alpe-Adria region then also determines the selection of his food, which is processed with heart and love in the kitchen to delicious specialities. As much of the regional produce as possible comes from the local Slow Food partner companies, while the neighbouring regions of Friuli and Slovenia offer delicacies prepared in the kitchen by daughter Elisabeth.
