Gurina and stone age hillside settlement...

... ancient cultures brought back to life!

As early as the Stone Age humans settled on the sunny plateaus near the Gurina and laid the foundations for a rich cultural heritage. They were followed by Celts and Romans, who came to exploit the excellent iron ore in the region.

In the early 21st century a major excavation project in Gurina uncovered many finds that give us a better insight into the history of this area. One of the most visible results of this work is the reconsted Gallo-Roman temple that can be seen for many miles around.
