BACK TO THE ROOTS – (Out)living in the Nature Park Weissensee
All living beings – plants, animals and humans – respond to environmental impacts, have diverse demands and a “personal” life cycle. How do today’s people find their way in nature? Searching for water and food, protecting themselves against the weather, navigating with maps and compass – adults and children do not have these experiences anymore.
Our nature park rangers will show you how to be prepared for an outdoor adventure.
During this hike you will get a fascinating insight into the possible ways to live in nature without any technical help. Between the activities there is time for a hearty Carinthian snack.
Dates: Fridays, July 12, August 16 and September 13, 2024
Time: 9 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.
Meeting point: Weissensee Information, Techendorf Süd
Duration: about 5 hours
Equipment: mountain boots, weather-proof clothes and provisions
Costs: € 27,- adults, € 20 children (up to 14 years old)
Features: Guided hike with experienced guides, rented survival equipment and Carinthian snack
Number of participants: at least 4 people; participation for ages 10 and older
