Weißenbachklamm

One of the most beautiful gorges in Carinthia, the Weißenbachklamm, awaits nature lovers in the Gitschtal.

There are several rest benches in the gorge for resting and lingering.

From the north (D, NL, DK):

Tauern motorway – Spittal junction - direction Lienz - Greifenburg - over the Kreuzberg – Weissbriach
Salzburg - Badgastein (train loading - Tauern sluice) - Mallnitz - Möllbrücke - Greifenburg - over the Kreuzberg – Weissbriach

From the west (CH, F):

Felbertauern - Mittersill - Lienz - Greifenburg - over the Kreuzberg - Weissbriach

From the south (I, SLO):

Udine - Hermagor/Gailtal exit - Hermagor - Weissbriach
Karawanken motorway - Villach junction - direction Italy - Hermagor/Gailtal exit - Hermagor - Weissbriach

From the east (SLO, HR):

Directions

Variante 1:

Vom Sonnenhof Jury in Jadersdorf gehen wir rechts über die Brücke Richtung Hermagor. Nach ca. 300 m biegen wir links ab und wandern die Straße entlang bis zum Parkplatz Einstieg Weißenbachklamm.

Variante 2:

Vom Sonnenhof Jury in Jadersdorf gehen wir rechts über die Brücke Richtung Hermagor. Nach der Brücke biegen wir links auf den Forstweg ab. Bei dem Schild „Weißenbachklamm“ biegen wir rechts auf den Waldweg ab und wandern weiter bis zum Einstieg Weißenbachklamm.

In der Klamm erleichtern gesicherte Leitern und Stege das Fortkommen.

Rückweg Variante 1:

Dem Weg Nr. 19 links über die Geppe zurück nach Jadersdorf folgen.

Rückweg Variante 2:

Dem Weg Nr. 19a rechts über die Madatsche zurück nach Jadersdorf folgen.
