Very beautiful hike - partly along the beautiful river landscape of the Gössering - embedded in the Gailtal Alps
Suggestion
  • The path to the Waisacher Alm corresponds to trail numbers 10/10a on the Gitschtal hiking map.
  • The first part of the path leads along the Gössering Nature Trail RW_N6 - featuring information boards, ruins, and Kneipp facilities. 
  • The hike can also be combined, among others, with the circular hiking route RW_N4.

Arrival by car:

Coming from Hermagor, drive via the B86 (Gitschtal federal road) to Weißbriach. 

From Greifenburg or Weissensee via the B87 Weißensee road to Weißbriach.

Directions

Nach dem Gemeindeamt in Weißbriach, noch vor der Brücke links amBach entlang bis zum Gösseringgraben, an den alten Ruinen vorbei zur Ruine „großen Hammer“. Von hier gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten, um zur Waisacher Alm (bewirtschaftet) zu gelangen.

Variante 1: "Tuffweg" - über den Steig 10a auf den Plattenweg (9) und weiter zur Waisacher Alm.

Variante 2: dem Forstweg folgen, über Pfarreben oder über den Fahrweg (238) zur Waisacher Alm.
