XC_N13 Connecting Trail Rattendorf-Waidegg (Classic and Skating)

A connecting short trail - nestled between the Carnic and Gailtal Alps

Suggestion

The actual, continuous route of the trail may vary (depending on snow conditions, etc.).
The connecting trail can also be very well combined with the Obergailtaler Panoramic Trail XC_N2, the trail XC_N12 at the Rattendorf trail center), as well as the Gailtal Trail XC_N6.

Directions

Arrival by car:

Via the B111 (Gailtal Road) - coming from Kötschach-Mauthen (towards Hermagor) - you drive to the village of Jenig.

Here you turn right after the gas station towards Rattendorf (Rattendorfer Landesstraße).

Via the B111 (Gailtal Road) - coming from Hermagor (towards Kötschach-Mauthen) - you drive towards Tröpolach/Nassfeld junction (along the B90). In Tröpolach, turn right from the B90 - after the fire station - towards Rattendorf (Rattendorfer Landesstraße).

Ausgangs-/Endpunkt:

Die Verbindungsloipe beginnt direkt in der zweiten Schleife der Panoramaloipe XC_N12 - unmittelbar hinter den landwirtschaftlichen Nutzgebäuden (Garagen etc.), die dem Waldrand am nächsten sind.

Zuerst verläuft die Loipe parallel zum Waldrand, um vor dem Bachlauf nach rechts abzuzweigen. Bei der folgenden Weggabelung querst du den Bach und die Loipe führt, parallel zur Gail, über die freien Flächen, Richtung Gailbrücke Waidegg (talaufwärts).
